Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

How many ways can you alter the appearance of a rectangular slab? Samsung appears to be switching between angular and rounded, or flat vs curved designs. The new Galaxy S25 Ultra mockup images suggest that the phone’s corners may be slightly rounded compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. We also get a side-by-side comparison of the S25 Ultra design with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and even the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Tipster Ice Universe shared these Galaxy S25 Ultra images. The images appear to be mockups rather than official renders.

The first image shared only shows the front of the rumored Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with an S-Pen. This mockup depicts a phone with rounded corners, a central punch hole cutout, and slim bezels.

When compared to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has rounded corners that make it appear less boxy. The rounded shape will also be comfortable in the palm.

It is not as well-rounded as the iPhone 16 Pro Max or older Galaxy phones such as the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Ultra. As the tipster notes, the S25 Ultra’s design resembles a “Note” (remember the Galaxy Note lineup?).

While the corners are rounded, the rest of the perimeter is completely flat. This should accept touches more easily (fewer false touches than a curved edge). The S-Pen will also be more convenient to use on a flat surface. A flat screen is also less prone to abrasion. As we mentioned in our Galaxy S24 Ultra review, the flat design “makes screen protectors easier to apply”.
